On Saturday, July 6 at 11:00 am, the ‘2024 Korean Speech Contest’ hosted by K-DREAMVISION, an online Korean language education platform, was successfully completed. The event was held in real time via Zoom, with the participation of about 160 foreigners from 11 countries. A total of 15 participants made it to the final round, and they were awarded 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in each category of beginner, intermediate, and advanced, as well as an encouragement prize (5 people) and the grand prize (1 person).

In particular, it was difficult to determine the ranking of this competition as the level of presentation of the participants improved significantly. Therefore, a special award was awarded to the participants who failed to advance to the finals unfortunately. K-Dreamvision selected outstanding cooperative organizations among the overseas partner organizations that cooperated for this competition and awarded awards and prize money.

The participants were supposed to send a maximum 3 minutes video on one of the three given topics: ① My Korean teacher ② My own way to enjoy Korea.

The grand prize was awarded to Pham Thi Puong from Vietnam, who presented under the theme of 'My Korean teacher', followed by other participants who received awards for each category.

Participants expressed their feelings that they had time to study Korean with their teachers and enjoy Korean culture through this event.

In the future, K-Dreamvision Co., Ltd. will organise various competitions for foreigners who are interested in Korea, and will provide a place for people from all over the world to communicate with each other.
